Seven gunmen affiliated with the Tehrik-i-Taliban conducted a terrorist attack on the Army Public School in the Pakistani city of Peshawar. They entered the school and opened fire on school staff and children, killing 141 people, including 132 school children, ranging between eight and eighteen years of age.
A heavily armed group attacked the Pathankot Air Force Station. Four attackers and two security forces personnel were killed in the initial battle, with an additional security force member dying from injuries hours later. The gun battle resulting in five attacks and three security personnel dead.
